What an honor it was to be asked to come back again for the second year to document and tell the story of Christ the King Catholic School here in South Tampa!! The way the teachers and staff invest in these students is incredible. Everyone always has a smile on their face and they create such a wonderful, safe environment for children to grow and learn. From the moment Chase and I met Colleen and Cody at their engagement session, we had been looking forward to spending this day with them. Every single detail was perfect for Colleen and Cody's intimate celebration with their closest friends, family, and the cutest ring bearer (their adorable german shepherd Tegan). The weather was amazing. Cross Creek Ranch was absolutely stunning and made for the most romantic woodsy background. Colleen was a radiant bride and Cody looked so handsome in his Coast Guard dress blues. If I could describe Colleen and Cody as a couple in three words it would be joyful, laid back, and completely in love. They really do make a perfect team. Laura is so full of life and truly a breath of fresh air!! When we met to talk about locations for her senior session she said how much she loved St Pete and really wanted the golden sunset glow in her images!! And boy did God show up with a perfect sunset that night that gave us gorgeous light to play with :) How beautiful is she?! Laura, girl you are amazing!! Davis Island, University of Tampa Senior Session // Amy Hall
YAY! Amy's senior session at Davis Island and University of Tampa last Saturday morning was just the best. She is so easy-going and down to earth, oh and did I mention how beautiful she is? She is the editor and chief of Plant's Yearbook (which is a huge job and honor!) She would love to attend Auburn University in the fall which is such a great school. I absolutely loved getting to know her during our time together and can't wait to share with you some of my favorite images from her session below!! Amy, enjoy every minute of this year!! I met Rachel the morning of her session at Oxford Exchange and we had the best time! She is so genuine which made it so easy to get to know her and her heart! She is the editor of Plant High School's school newspaper and is interesting in attending Indiana University or Florida State once she graduates in May! Her red dress contrasted beautifully against the white was brick at Oxford Exchange. We walked over to University of Tampa afterwards and got some more beautiful scenic backdrops! Oh my heart! These two are true gems. Sara and Zachary have dated for 5 years and met their freshman year of college. He popped the question recently and she said yes! We met in Hyde Park and started the session at Buddy Brew Coffee. We were only 15 minutes into the session when it started to downpour! While we ran inside Buddy Brew to take cover from the storm, I got to know them, their hearts, and just how perfect they are for each other. After it stopped raining we drove over to the end of Davis Island and popped champagne and caught the final glimpse of the sunset! I love how Sara incorporated pink roses and champagne into the shoot. Being a style blogger (check out her site here), she really has the coolest vision and I loved getting to help bring her vision to life!! Here are some of my absolute favorites from the session.

Elizabeth is incredible! It was so easy to get to know her while walking in downtown Tampa with her and her girls. Her heart , dreams, goals, and passions are inspiring. We started at the Straz Center, which was super fitting for her personality because she has a true love for theatre. Elizabeth is the Thespian Troupe president at Plant High School as well as president of Youth in Government Club. Then we made our way over to the Tampa Museum of Art, which has some really cool walls and made for the neatest backdrops!! Elizabeth's dream college is Columbia in New York! This is a sweet post for me, because my sister is one of my best friends. I just can't get over the fact that my little sister (as in 7 years younger was truly my baby doll growing up) is a SENIOR in high school. Maybe it's partially the acknowledgement that it will be 7 years since I graduated high school when she graduates, but man I feel like I'm holding back tears just typing this. She has become so beautiful inside and out, and is one of the best friends and sister a girl could ask for. So let me tell you about Rosemary, my twin or "mini me" with red hair (oops sorry I'm suppose to say strawberry blond ;) Rosemary is seriously amazing. She is smart, funny, sassy, yet kind, and loves her family and Jesus so well. On top of being in challenging classes in school, she is a swimmer, a musician, and really anything else she sets her mind to be. I always joke when describing Rose to my friends as the sassier version of me, which its true. I wish i could think as fast on my feet as she can, or do really cool Russian accents that have people rolling on the floor laughing.
It's your year Rose. Take a moment to breathe in and out and remember that God has incredible plans for you. I can't wait to see all the things you accomplish, the lives you touch, and the journey God has for you. We are your biggest cheerleaders!! Love you!

When Anna Marie reached out to me a few months ago starting with "I know this is a long shot because we know how far Tampa is from SC, but we love your work and are going to dream big here and see if you were available Jan 21, 2017 in Rock Hill, SC." I couldn't have been more honored and truly so excited. I knew Anna Marie through FCA at Clemson and Chase knew Ben through mutual friends at Clemson as well. What I love about their story though is that Ben and Anna were just friends throughout college. They both moved to Charleston after graduation, and pretty soon after that's when Ben asked her out on their first date. After dating for about a year after, Ben proposed in the sweetest way and Anna said YES! It was so fun to watch this relationship grow from a far :)

I had the privilege of photographing the Rising Family a few weeks ago and let me tell you, they are so adorable. Carter is two and has so much energy! I loved being able to play and chase him around while capturing him in his element. We started in Hyde Park and ended on Bayshore which made for some really beautiful backdrops. The sweetest part of this session is that Mary Elise shared with me that they are expecting another addition to the family in October!! I am just so excited to meet baby Rising and watch them grow. Makenna's senior session was truly a blast! We started in downtown St Pete and ended up at the Dali Museum, which is right next to where she will be attending USF St Pete in the fall! Her mom and sister came with us which was so fun and we all grabbed dinner together on the way home. I have had the privilege of knowing Makenna for the past year through church and she is such an amazing girl, inside and out. I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for her. Welcome to the world baby Miller 🎉🎉! You are already so dearly loved. It is always such a privilege to be able to capture those first few days of life 💙. Baily and Chris seemed to slip into this new role of being parents so effortlessly and full of laughter and love! Miller was also wide awake throughout the whole session, clearly not wanting to miss anything that was going on. Courtney is a stunner with an infectious smile that kept me smiling the whole session. To say we hit it off during her senior session was an understatement!! She is so cool y'all and just as beautiful on the inside as the outside 💕. We found some lovely spring flowers in Hyde Park and had to stop to snap this image then headed to my favorite rooftop that overlooks the entire downtown Tampa Skyline!!

Sand Key State Park, Florida Engagement Session// Colleen and Cody
My favorite thing in the world is to document love, you know that effortless kind, the kind Colleen and Cody have. As we were walking through Sand Key State Park just capturing the moments we were in, I asked them how they met, what their story was. They both looked at each other and smiled, and proceeded to tell me that they met through mutual friends on a kayaking trip. They were "just friends" for a while before falling in love and deciding to make it official. A few months ago Cody popped the question and I mean who could say no to the sweetest guy holding the most beautiful ring promising to love and cherish you forever 💍💎?! Cody is away serving in the Coast Guard and every moment they get together is precious. So here are all the amazing images from their dreamy engagement session, and Chase and I are so excited to illustrate their beautiful day!! Hurry up November 6!!
